SCHOLARSHIP FUND NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS 2020.11.25 College and Vocational/Training Program Scholarships Available to the Sons and Daughters of Teamsters The James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund has begun accepting applications for the 2021 award year. The Fund awards financial scholarships to the sons, daughters and financial dependents of Teamster members. The Local Union 509 membership is informed that recently Brother Ready passed away at the age of 91. Brother Ready served honorably in the United States Army in the Korean War. Brother Ready began working in the trucking industry in 1951 and became an Executive Board Member of the Local Union. Brother Ready was instrumental in serving on every position on the Executive Board.
