We are based in Newtonmore, Inverness shire, Scotland. This small Scottish registered company is directed by Sandy Allan who is an active mounatinner and... member of the British Mountain Guides. We often have other qualified IFMGA guides working with Sandy throughout Europe (especially in Scotland and the French Alps). All our guides are UIAGM/IFMGA qualified and we endeavour to provide a safe, professional and quality service. In Nepal we use experienced climbing sherpas. The sherpas are outstanding, many have climbed Everest a number of times and truly are the backbone of our high altitude expeditions. We would be unable to work at high altitude without them. On this web site, under our courses you will find a number of fixed date course and adventures. However, please note that the largest part of our mountain guiding is private guiding for individuals and groups, so please feel free to propose your own ideas, adventures and dates or ask us to design a trip for you. We will try our best to meet your needs. We also provide lots of instructional courses so beginners are very welcome. In addition to taking people into wild places we also offer safety support services for teh outdoors or in steep and high places. We are actively involved in other consultancy roles such as "work at height " in exposed remote industrial work and rescue situations.
