This was reaffirmed when a contract for the Golden Odyssey was awarded to us in 1987, marking the company's first step into cruise ship refurbishment. Since then, Tat Wai ha... s continually matured and refined itself as a quality turnkey contractor for accommodation spaces. In 1995, our current Chairman and CEO, Alfred Tan, took his passion for interiors and established a commercial business unit to serve the Construction sector. Tat Wai's exposure to fast-paced and complex marine projects equipped our project management teams with the foresight to mitigate site delays and ensure all projects stayed on track. Our seasoned craftsmen's experience in high-end custom-made furniture production also enabled us to take on and execute challenging designs flawlessly. With unparalleled craftsmanship and project management, Tat Wai was able to scale rapidly in the Construction sector. The company has achieved L6 status for Interior Decoration and Finishing Works under the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Singapore. To date, Tat Wai has grown from strength to strength, servicing a variety of businesses including marine offshore oil & gas, passenger vessels, hotels, offices, retail establishments, banking halls, restaurants and apartments. In 2015, an offshore production facility was set up in Semarang, Indonesia, to keep up with the demands of the company. With our now 300 strong employee base across Asia, we are well-positioned to handle tomorrow's challenges.
