THE TASK was founded in year 2000, by Ajith Bopitiya with a fully equipped and purpose built adventure camp site in Koslanda Haputale on 15 acre land surrounded by greenery amidst a salubrious climate. Having completed a five year stint as Group Training Manager at a Sri Lankan blue chip company, Ajith set out to build his dream of establishing the... first ever adventure camp with permanent high ropes course in his own land. With the help of a handful of like minded young people and standards from Association of Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) he built this adventure based learning centre and conducted programmes for the corporate sector. The residential facilities in the camp, local menu of food, treks in upper Diyaluma areas, eight element high ropes course, dark challenge, fun-filled camp nights, excellent debriefings with corporate relevance, climbing and rappelling sessions gave the participants unforgettable memories coupled with anchored learnings. THE TASK team has been commended for their caring attitude, flexible approach to activity participation where "challenge-by-choice" was strictly adhered and meticulous details on safety has made us the preferred choice of those who took part in our programme that spanned from single-day to five-days.
