About Tangled Inklings
I am a mixed-media artist and life-long crafter. My art practice was mostly graphite, charcoal and ink - so when I stumbled upon some of Maria Thomas' amazing, abstract black & white creations, it was love at first site! I have been enamored with all things ZENTANGLE since 2007, eagerly pouring over books and websites to discover new tangles. In October 2013, I traveled to Providence, Rhode Island to complete the Zentangle Teacher Training Program (CZT 12), and I am thrilled to be Winnipeg's first Certified Zentangle Teacher! The " Inklings " were an informal group of mostly Christian friends, including C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, who gathered regularly in the mid-20th century at Oxford University, to discuss and critique their works, which could include letters, manuscripts, artwork, dissertations, photographs, and the like.
