About Swing
Swing to Cure Diabetes was founded by former University of Michigan football player and Varnum attorney Rich Hewlett and his wife, Chris. The couple began raising money and awareness for juvenile diabetes research after their son, Jeffrey, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 20 years ago. The annual golf outing is attended by many of Rich's Wolverine teammates and coaches, including U of M head coaches Jim Harbaugh, Gary Moeller and Lloyd Carr.Explore more
