About Sweeties
We are on Front Street just a few door down from the Clock Tower and Rice Museum. Our building dates back to 1870, the floor, walls, and ceiling beams are original. It is a small quaint shop where we manage to create some delicious candies. We make our pralines, fudge, and caramel in a 20 quart steam jacket kettle. The toffees and brittles are made on a single hot plate. The batch ice cream maker is the largest piece of equipment. Skip & Cindy purchased Sweeties in 2006. They were searching for a business on the coast that would pay their personal bills while the operated a non-profit animal rescue. The rescue closed in 2019 but Sweeties continues to create sweet treats. When you're in Georgetown come by and visit. We enjoy talking with you.
