Established in 1957. Sunflower Motel is in a great location and is well-established. It's on 1st Street, that is also US Highway 73/159, one mile north of Highway Junction 73 and 36. We are located only 20 miles from three area casinos, White Cloud, Sac & Fox, and Golden Eagle. Also, we are only a few miles from outdoor recreational grounds for hun... ting, fishing or golf. Sunflower offers classic roadside motel setting and beautiful room accommodations. Choose among Queen, Double Queen, and King guestrooms. Suites are also available. Each room is unique, and features a comfortable design to make you feel welcome. All rooms have an HD TV, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Enjoy free local phone calls, and free WiFi access. Hair dryers, irons and ironing boards are available upon request. A vending machine is available for your snack cravings. Also, we are located near the local grocery market. Having a key to our motel includes discounts at select local eateries. Sunflower has 26 guestrooms. Room Sunflower Motel opened in the mid-1950s as a solid brick roadside motel. It has changed ownership over the years,. As the present owners, we took over in 2010 and renovated the rooms with new beds, new AC/heating units, and custom-made darkening drapes. We gave the rooms a personal touch so each room is unique. Fun facts about Hiawatha: -- Hiawatha is named after the epic poem "The Song of Hiawatha," by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. -- It is known as the City of Beautiful Maples, via a flourish of seedlings that were planted almost 100 years ago.
