This hard-working couple has been actively involved in the local and regional hauling and trucking business since 1994. Currently Sun Ridge Equipment has been working with New Gold Mine since 2011 providing earth moving, rock crushing, road building/maintenance, mine surface building/maintenance, tailing pond structural maintenance, aggregate suppl... y and haul, and custom screening. Sun Ridge was contracted to raise the Tailings Dam in 2016 and 2017. After years of hard work and perseverance Sun Ridge Equipment has expanded our operations to include Civil Construction and Forestry Projects. This company is also proud of their impeccable service and safety record and their equally impressive fleet of equipment including: rock trucks, dump trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, jaw crushers, conveyors, screening plant, graders, bobcats, water trucks, service trucks and work trucks. Sun Ridge Equipment Ltd. has worked on a variety of projects such as mine maintenance, road building, dykes, sewers, earth moving, and mobile crushing. Sun Ridge Equipment strongly believe in promoting and providing First Nations education, training, and employment opportunities. We value our relationships built with New Gold, Thompson River's University, and School District #73, and our other 300 plus supplier businesses. We are very proud to support the education institutes by way of donations and bursaries that go directly to First Nations Students for Trades and Training, Post Secondary Education, and Heavy Metal Rocks (a program designed to provide on-the-job equipment training to high school students). Sun Ridge has a high compliment of First Nations employees some of which are recipients of our educational bursaries and training. In 2013 the BC Aboriginal Awards honored Sun Ridge with an award for Business of the year.
