About Summit Media

Summit Media is a West Virginia Company formed in 1997 and originally owned radio stations in the Fairmont, Morgantown, Clarksburg area. The companies are made up of two local owners, Al Sergi and Daniel Finch Jr. who have brought their skills in broadcasting from their native New Jersey. In 1999, we sold everything in the northern part of the state and began building the present day Summit Media radio group. WAFD 100.3 FM, WCWV 92.9 FM and WDBS 97.1 FM are all the largest signals possible in West Virginia, WKQV 105.5 FM also enjoys a large coverage signal. Plus WVBD 100.7 and 98.9 cover the greater Beckley metro market. Plus we salvaged Central West Virginia's original 2 AM stations, WVAR 600 Richwood and WSGB 1490 AM Sutton-Gassaway , added FM translators 92.1, 92.5 and 96.5 and created Q-92 Classic Top 40 Hits of the 80's .
