Summit House, a Greensboro private non-profit with a mission to serve homeless women and their children, is seeking a qualified consultant with demonstrated strengths in the area of fundraising, planning, partnership building, and board development to assist the Board of Directors with the following: Board and committee development - identify gaps... in Board memberships, generate a list of potential Board candidates, develop and implement strategies to approach candidates Resource development - research potential funding sources (local, state, federal, private), develop strategies for approaching these sources, identify Board fundraising strengths and weaknesses, implement a fundraising plan Executive leadership - identify executive leadership needs, develop and implement a plan to recruit, hire, and retain executive leadership Timeline - develop the steps and schedule to be prepared to open the facility and begin providing services by August 2013. This consulting contract would start immediately and is expected to last approximately six months with the possibility of renewal.
