We also offer lessons in the after school lesson program at Curtis Middle School in Sudbury, MA and at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School through the Adult Ed program (6th graders through adults). We hold two student recitals each year at the Goodnow Library in Sudbury. Robb Aistrup (double bass and cello) and Nicki Payne (violin and viola) are a... husband and wife team of devoted string instructors. Nicki earned her Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music. Robb earned his Bachelor of Music from University of Kansas. Both earned Master of Music Degrees from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. We have both taught extensively in the the United States and in Spain, from beginner to conservatory level students. We have performed professionally throughout the United States, Europe, and South America, and are active freelance performers in the Boston area. Many of our students are members of top youth orchestras in the Boston area, including Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, Rivers School Conservatory, and New England Conservatory, and have earned spots in Junior and Senior Districts Festivals in Massachusetts, as well as the All State Festival. We are dedicated and passionate about teaching music, and our commitment to you is to provide you or your child with first rate, personalized instruction, in a positive, encouraging environment. We believe that success and enjoyment with music lessons is best achieved in an atmosphere that is both light-hearted and respectful. Lessons are focused, goal-oriented, and productive. Daily Practice: Tremendous progress on a musical instrument is amazing to behold, but comes only through DAILY PRACTICING. Students are expected to practice every day and come prepared to their lesson each week. For younger students, parents play a major role in successful practice. We welcome parents' questions about practicing and value their input regarding their child's learning style.
