Teachers for Tomorrow, LLC, was launched in January 2013 by Aleta Mechtel in response to a shortage of quality substitute teachers for her childcare centers. Aleta and her leadership team kept having to step into the classroom to keep student-to-staff ratios in compliance. TFT employs retired, newly graduated, and part-time teachers, all of whom are fully qualified and trained to effectively substitute. . In just six short years, TFT is now serving over 60 childcare centers in the greater Minneapolis area! Aleta Mechtel began her career teaching in a childcare center. From the beginning, she knew shed found her passion in serving young children and the childcare industry. In 2000, Aleta opened her first childcare center/ school and it quickly became the school of choice in the Victoria area of Minnesota. Her first schools success led to an expansion, bringing with it the challenges of being a multi-site owner, the greatest of which was having access to a pre-qualified and trained group of substitute teachers.
