We embrace the critical role designers play in confronting this issue, and we utilize the full range of sustainable principles, practices and technologies in our work to renew humanity's reciprocal relationship with the environment and preserve our planet's built and natural landscapes. Our understanding of sustainability encompasses economic and social viability, as well as environmental issues. As such we are devoted to supporting institutions and organizations that, with big visions and modest means, make a difference in the communities they serve by donating architectural services to non-profits through the 1% Solution, a resource for pro bono architecture. In them we find allies and supporters for creating vibrant, livable and sustainable communities.
