StruXture Architects

StruXture Architects have long been the architectural firm chosen by the Decorah Community Schools. In the past decade, they have served our District by overseeing the design and construction of the Decorah Middle School, the design and complete remodel of the former Middle School (originally constructed in 1921 as a high school) into a facility to... serve grades 3-5, and the deconstruction of a former building and the design of the ensuing playground now serving our Carrie Lee Elementary (Gr. 3-4) and Decorah Middle School (Gr. 5-8). In 2010, the Decorah Board of Education officially named StruXture Architects the District architects and StruXture went to work with our Citizen Advisory Committee ("Shareholders") to assess the remaining building needs of the District. This work led to the passage of a $10.4 million bond issue, the renewal of the $1.34 PPEL, and a $19.6 million construction/renovation project at Decorah High School. StruXture Architects have taken an extraordinarily complicated project, which has involved completing all work while the High School facility is still in use, and made this work! Their creativity and ability to find common sense solutions have been so very much appreciated. Furthermore, they have also made the effort to spend time in our community and have come to know some of the people around town.
