The Strathroy Rockets are requesting your help for the 2008-09 Season. The Rockets continue to be one of the only two teams in the Western Ontario Hockey League that are not privately owned. They are a Community based, non-profit, volunteer operated organization directed by a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of President Dale Wurfel (Preside... nt & Owner of Dale Wurfel Pontiac GMC) Vice President Don Van Massenhoven (NHL Referee), Secretary Sheri Lalich (Owner/Operator of Studio 139), Treasurer Gary Dodds (Accountant Gates Corporation), Rob Anderson (V.P. of Bonduelle Foods), Rob Van Dyk (Auto Sales & Leasing Consultant), Sue Lewis (Strathroy Medical Clinic), Brian McCarthy (Strathroy-Caradoc Police Chief) and Charlie Milhomens (Owner/Operator of The Source). The Rockets organization is committed to providing its players with a positive and rewarding experience of playing hockey in Strathroy-Caradoc, as well as becoming involved in the Community. Our goal is and always has been to provide an environment where the players will have the opportunity to develop athletic, academic, leadership and citizenship skills. With the continued help of the Business Community, through your sponsorship dollars, we will be able to provide our players with a positive and rewarding opportunity to exhibit and improve their hockey and life skills, while providing the Strathroy-Caradoc community with exciting Junior B hockey action.
