STRATEGIC INVESTIGATIVE SERVICES was founded by Patrick M. (Pat) Hardy in 1998 in Ohio. He is a graduate of the Ohio Police Academy. In addition to operating a P.I. agency for over 20 years, he has extensive experience in retail loss prevention as an investigator, supervisor, organized retail crime investigator and working financial crimes. He also... spent five years working for two national investigative agencies investigating worker's compensation fraud, auto liability, premises liability, mortgage fraud and conducting death investigations. Prior to starting the company, Mr. Hardy worked in labor relations, owned franchised retail stores and operated a construction/inspection business specializing in insurance claims. Since 1993, Mr. Hardy has been doing pro bono work locating missing persons and separated biological parents and children. He is working on his first book, Nature vs. Nurture; Adoption in America, which is a study of several cases in which he located the biological parents and child after being separated since birth or at a very young age. This information should be beneficial to those involved in the adoption process, the medical community, the mental health profession and the judicial system. He continues to do pro bono work locating missing children and adults along with cold case homicides. In addition, Mr. Hardy continues to study the latest developments in CCTV and video forensics qualifying him to obtain certifications in forensic video analysis. To date, Mr. Hardy has successfully worked over a thousand cases including criminal defense, civil cases, insurance cases, missing persons, locating witnesses, financial investigations, asset searches, collection/recovery, background checks, custody cases, false allegations, death investigations, cold cases and a wide range of cases for retailers, small businesses and corporations.
