About Stonekeep Meadery
We specialize in traditional honey mead made from a 1376 English recipe. Our Traditional Mead, Melomels, and Metheglyns are all based off of this recipe. You will find our mead is not as sweet as a lot of modern style meads or Irish imports. In 1376, the bee-hive had to be destroyed to harvest the honey. So they used the honey more sparingly to ferment into mead. From this traditional recipe, we will also ferment different fruits and herbs, along with the honey, to make melomels and metheglyns respectively. We do not add grapes or sugar to any of our meads. We also have a full range of grape wines. Sweet, Dry, Reds, Whites, Blushes, with our blends being very unique to us. All of our products are Gluten Free.
