Stonehouse Stables

Since 2010, Stonehouse Stables offers a unique package for our students and boarders who have a strong interest in showing. It is fun and a great experience for all levels. We have several different options available to fit your needs. Qualified team members must be currently enrolled in the lesson program at Stonehouse Stables. Riders at all level... s of ability and all ages are eligible to participate. Our team objectives are to improve individual skills, compete successfully with riders throughout the region, and to learn responsibility and team work while have fun! To be considered for the team, riders must be willing to commit to competing with the team at regional competitions. Competitions begin in March and continue through October. Committing to a show season can save money and greatly increase a rider's competitive edge. All team members will earn points based on ribbons won in their divisions. These points accrue throughout the year towards year-end recognition. Each Team member will need to become members of the Capital Horse Show Association (CHSA) and Virginia Horse Show Association (VHSA) for their points to be eligible for year-end awards. Based on VHSA points earned and qualifying horse shows, top VHSA members throughout the region can be invited to compete in the VHSA Associate Finals and be recognized with year-end awards. This show takes place in Lexington, Virginia every November. In addition to the many local CHSA horse shows, team members will have the opportunity to attend various "A" shows throughout the 2016 show season. "A" shows increase the competition to push members and test their abilities against some of the top horse and rider combinations on the East Coast.
