Stocktrans started its humble beginnings during 1988 at the north coast town of Grafton, NSW. The first unit was a second-hand Mack superliner and two deck cattle float which company founder Joe Sepos purchased at auction from Chinchilla in Queensland. This truck carried cattle from various NSW saleyards into Gilbertsons, who at that time were the owners of the Grafton abattoir. During the following two to three years the business increased to six units with an office and workshop facility next to the railway line in South Grafton. Being the prime contractor of finished cattle for many major feedlots and meat processors, Stocktrans understands the emphasis of a non-bruise and stress-free transport service.
