Stockner's is dedicated to environmental protection and helping to ensure that future generations are able to enjoy a clean, healthy and sustainable planet. In 1981, we decided to take a more proactive approach to becoming a greener company. Since implementing more green practices, we've made great strides. To date, we've replaced one third of our... gas mowers with propane-powered units. These use about 30 percent less fuel than gas mowers and can reduce emissions by up to 50 percent. We've also introduced battery-operated string trimmers and blowers into some of our largest maintenance projects. Today, we continue leading the charge in green initiatives and sustainable practices and services. Our Green Initiatives program includes the recycling of all biodegradable landscape waste that is generated from our clients' properties. This waste is sorted by type and recycled into compost, wood-chips and topsoil.
