Stillwater Stables - Our Program At Stillwater Stables we offer quality riding lessons for children ages 6-18. We incorporate all aspects of the horse from being safe around them, how to care for them, including grooming, ground training and riding. Every ?Every child/teen who comes to the program has different needs or reasons for being here; ther... efore our program is individualized for each student. Some are here to take lessons and have the experience of working with a horse and be exposed to the 25 assets that are present here (more about these assets at http://www.stillwater-stables.org/mission?) . Some kids come with specific needs so we meet with parents, guardians, counselors, and/or probation officers to set goals for each child who is enrolled. Some of these goals may include but are not limited to making friends, being accepted, overcoming depression, suicidal tendencies,working through ADHD, increasing attention span, have a place to belong, build confidence, experience respite, becoming more responsible, to learn and practice leadership and discover who God is.
