In 1986, Sterling Linen Services (formerly known as Bird Bath Commercial Laundry) was founded as an adjunct operation to a coin-operated laundromat located in Manchester, NH. The business quickly grew and relocated to its current location in 2001. In 2004, the business was acquired by Jonathan Benjamin, Ned Hazard and Dennis Kim because they saw an... opportunity to take their experiences from other industries and redefine the commercial laundry industry. Soon thereafter the owners changed the name to Sterling Linen Services signaling not only a change in ownership, but also in the way business was conducted. Working hand-in-hand with the employees the owners developed a new way of doing things. One of the most important aspects of their hands-on involvement was the development of a customer centric culture that continually looked for ways to improve the level of quality and service provided to Sterling's customers. Today, Sterling Linen Services is one of the largest commercial hospitality laundries located in New England.
