About Steer
STEER Inc. was born out of a heart for missions grown out of a revival experience and a revival ministry. STEER Inc. was organized and founded in 1957 in Park River, North Dakota. The ministry was founded and directed by Rev. Ed Folden. He faithfully led the STEER ministry, while always looking to God for His direction and wisdom until 1972. At that time Rev. LaRue Goetz became the Executive Director of STEER Inc. and faithfully served the Lord as the director until his retirement in the fall of 1999. Mr. Keith Kost who began his ministry with STEER Inc. in 1984, was then appointed the Interim Executive Director of STEER Inc. by the Board of Directors, effective November 1st, 1999. After six months as the Interim Executive Director, the Board of Directors unanimously voted to make Keith Kost the Executive Director effective May 1st, 2000.
