Coach Kasey Winters is beginning his first year as the Head Coach at CCHS. He was an assistant coach at Dixie State for six seasons. During his time at DSU the Trailblazers won two conference championships, a PacWest conference tournament title and competed in the NCAA D2 National Tournament four times. The Trailblazers also set records for most wi... ns in a season and the longest winning streak in program history while Coach Winters was on staff. Prior to his tenure at DSU, he spent four years as the head coach at Bear River High School, leading the Bears to a runner-up finish during the 2013 3A Basketball Championship. Coach Winters grew up in Mesquite, Nevada and graduated from VVHS in 2001. Winters then played at Snow College during the 2001-2002 and 2004-2005 seasons. Winters played the 2005-2006 season at Idaho State University and his senior year at Dixie State. He loves coaching skill development and has been the director of several camps and clinics through the years. He is excited to work with the youth in the area through Stampede Hoops and help the Mustang basketball programs be the best around. He and his wife Meridee have been married for 14 years and are the parents to four children: Jackson, Addison, Kendall, and Stockton. Coach Scott Murdock is entering his second year as part of the Crimson Cliffs boys basketball program as the freshmen coach. He coached freshmen boys basketball at Desert Hills High School for one year and Dixie High School for six years where he was apart of the Flyers coaching staff that won the 2016 3A Basketball State Championship. Prior to coaching in Utah, Coach Murdock spent five years as the freshmen/sophomore coach at his alma mater, El Dorado High school. Coach Murdock grew up in Placentia, California and graduated from El Dorado High School in 2001. He played basketball and was a member of the track team during his four years at El Dorado.
