The School is a coeducational institution with students in grades 8 to 12. As a Catholic School, students are expected to participate in all aspects of school life, including the liturgical and prayer life of the school. Faith and Community of the school is fostered through daily prayer and religious education classes. The Campus Ministry Office ov... ersees all Masses, school prayer services and retreat programs for all grade levels. There is an active social justice dimension to the school. Students are encouraged to participate in the pro-life club, outreach programs, missions trips and fundraising initiatives designed to raise funds for those in need in the greater community. Community Events at the school include our students, staff, parents and alumni. In order to engage all segments of the school population we offer numerous events throughout the year like the Academic Night, Walkathon, Christmas Craft Fair, Dinner Auction, Plant a Row Grow a Row, Fine Arts Evenings, Basketball Tournaments, Drama Productions, Speech Night, Career Fair, Alumni Golf and Basketball Tournaments, Chancellor Music Festival, Night of the Knights Award Ceremony, and the annual Graduation Ceremonies and Dinner-Dance. Parent Participation is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged. Involvement on the part of our students and our parents is what sets our school apart and adds to the richness of our sense of community. Admission Policies gives preference to (1) siblings of St. Thomas More Collegiate students and a limited number of children of Alumni; (2) Catholic students in good standing at the three feeder elementary schools (Our Lady of Mercy, St. Francis de Sales, and St. Michael the Archangel); (3) Catholic students from the five feeder parishes (as listed above plus St. Peter's and Holy Spirit) with a letter from the pastor confirming active membership in the parish; (4) Catholic student from non-feeder Catholic schools and parishes; and (5) Non-Catholic students from either feeder or non-feeder schools.Read More
