St Saviour's

We are a lively, friendly, welcoming church with both informal and traditional aspects. We are passionate about prayer, see the Bible as our inspiration and are open to the Holy Spirit. We follow the call to love and reach out to others around us with God's love. Our church is on the corner of St Saviour's Road and Holland Road, in Larkhall. We mee... t each Sunday at 10.30 a.m. and 7 p.m. We meet together throughout the week in various groups, prayer meetings, home groups and at our Fairtrade Friday Café. We encourage people to grow in faith - through bible-based sermon series, either on themes or a book of the Bible - individually and through bible study in our home groups. For those looking into faith, we regularly run the Alpha Course which covers the basics of Christian faith. St Saviour's parish in the north-east of Bath has a population of 6,700. In the past, Larkhall was one of the poorer areas of Bath. Today the area is more mixed, but still has a number of houses run by Housing Associations. We have strong links with the church schools in the parish: St Saviour's Church Schools and St Mark's Secondary School and some church members serve as governors for these schools. St Saviour's is part of the Bath Deanery, which is in the Diocese of Bath and Wells. We are active in the wider city of Bath, regularly supporting joint church initiatives. We also work together with other churches locally, including Larkhall United Reformed Church and the parishes of Swainswick and Woolley (part of our benefice), Lansdown, Batheaston, Bathford, Bathampton and Walcot.
