St Mark's Church

We are a Christian church in the Anglican tradition. We aim to provide compassion, care and support to our parishioners and the communities of Remuera and Newmarket, and the wider Auckland community. We strive every day to live out our Mission Statement: "To know Christ and to make Christ known." We offer a range of activities and opportunities for... fellowship and personal growth. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we support and encourage each individual to develop their own personal strengths and gifts through prayer, biblical study, discussion forums, participation in groups, and Christian action. Saint Mark's has a beautiful church building and splendid parish centre facility, both of which are used and enjoyed by many within the church and the wider community. All are welcome into the community of faith at Saint Mark's, no matter who you are or where you are from, whether it is to pray, to sit in quiet reflection or to visit just for a short time. The church building is the base for our mission. The work of the parish only begins here. While we come together for worship it is important that we remember that we leave for mission. It's been said that we gather together for the sole purpose of being sent out again afterwards! Indeed the closing words of the service are: Go forth into the world in peace.
