Rita is the founder and president of S R International Inc, an entertainment company based in Naperville, IL. She has made extraordinary contributions to the community, starting by being the first female president and founder of the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) in Chicago. She is also a cofounder of Womens Empowerment (WE), which is the... largest networking and empowerment platform for Indian women in Chicago. In her spare time, she acts as the Chicago Chairperson for the All Ladies League, a global organization dedicated to women empowerment, which is a cause Rita feels very close to. Through these various platforms, she has been able to very successfully bring large scale Bollywood shows to Chicago by building and maintaining connections with numerous actors and directors along the way. S R International Inc.s first event was when Rita held an internationally televised beauty pageant called Miss Teen India USA, where over 40 Indian American contestants from all over the country competed to win the coveted crown. Rita also organized sold out New Years Eve shows from 2004 to 2011 in Chicago with live performances from Bollywood stars such as Meghna Naidu, DJ Doll, Sanober Kabir, Kashmera Shah, Krushna, and Udita Goswami. Along with beauty pageants and NYE shows, Rita organized a Hindi play called The Perfect Husband which starred actress Poonam Dillon and TV actor Suraj Thapar.
