Here we speak to Colin Trenery, who heads up Square Foot's Project Team: Colin - how long have you been in... volved in the tile industry? My career in the tile industry spans just over 30 years, now. I started back in 1985 and worked my way into the contracts sector quite early on, with a national tile manufacturer/retailer. I have been with Square Foot for the last 9 years. In your opinion, what are Square Foot's USPs - what stands you apart from your peers? It would have to be our customer service and reach. We pride ourselves on supplying great service to our clients in the interior design, contract and architectural industries. As a fairly small independent company we are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very well-connected so we tend to develop longstanding client relationships. We become a go-to supplier, as clients know that they can always rely on our Projects Team to deliver - we can interpret their brief, find the right product and then pull strings to meet the deadlines for delivery and so on. We offer an expansive range of high quality tiles to meet the needs of individual project specifications and we can source tiles to meet the specific requirements of our clients' briefs. Who is the typical Square Foot client, if there is such a thing? We typically present to architects and interior designer who specify for projects including major hotel groups, restaurants, pubs, housing and leisure complexes. We're moving into other commercial locations such as airports, stations and offices, too. What is a typical project that Square Foot would get involved with?
