At Springboard, we are proud of our legacy as a locally-owned small business. We started in 2012 after owner Kay Zerkel had spent several years as a marketing contractor for local businesses in Joplin. Springboard's co-owner, Chris Dumm, advises her on client files and business development. He is a local estate planning and elder law attorney. Kay... is a 4th-generation family business owner. Her grandfather started Snyder Construction Company in the 1940's to ensure that his family would never be without employment. Snyder's served the four-state community for almost 70 years and three generations. Debbie Zerkel, her mother, owned Take-Away Cafe, and her uncle and aunt, David and Cindy Blum, own the Red Onion Restaurants. Currently, Kay also co-owns Joplin MOW with her father, Jim Zerkel, and she is joined by her brother James at Springboard. This history has developed into a commitment to our community and its great people.
