We hope you are all keeping safe and well from this awful virus, that has changed the way we live by disrupting our everyday lives, our social life and not being able to visit our wonderful Spotlight Theatre. Lets hope a successful vaccine is available soon, which will hopefully return us to our normal way of life and allow us to enjoy the thrill o... f Theatre again. We have the opportunity to extend Spotlight, by acquiring part of the garage premises next door. The new area will provide an improved workshop and access to stage right. In order to achieve this goal, we are asking our supporters to join our fund-raising campaign Buy-a-Brick". The new wall will require 1200 concrete bricks. We are providing the opportunity for anyone to buy a brick or several bricks at £10 per brick. The income from the scheme will help us immensely with the cost of building the wall and the future purchase of the new extension area. We will inform everyone once the scheme is set up. Your support will be greatly appreciated and will improve the facilities at Spotlight Theatre for us all. Christmas is now approaching, so it is time to start thinking about our families and how we can all meet safely again. Hopefully we can all meet again in 2021 at Spotlight and we have some great shows lined up for you when we do. Our planned 2020 shows will be rescheduled to be performed in 2021. Lilies on the Land - a play about the Land Army girls. Spend, Spend, Spend - the Yorkshire musical about Viv Nicholson the pools winner. Dads Army - the stage play. Our traditional pantomime, a comeback concert, plus many more exciting shows. We cannot wait to see you all again, but for now, look after yourselves and stay safe.
