Who is Spokane County Bar Association
Since its founding as a Washington State non-profit civic organization in 1908, the Spokane County Bar Association (SCBA) has continuously served i ts attorney members. Today over 1000 local attorneys voluntarily join the collegial SCBA. Member attorneys have unique opportunities for professional growth, connections and support, social events, continuing legal education, pro bono opportunities, leadership development and member benefits. The SCBA also provides services to attorneys outside of the region, paralegals, and other legal professionals. The SCBA is centered in Spokane, Washington. Spokane is resource rich with four distinct seasons and accompanying outdoor activities, a continuing core district expansion with a multi-university district, Fairchild Air Force Base and as the central Pacific Northwest medical hub. It is the mission of the Spokane County Bar Association to enhance the integrity and competence of the legal community and to pursue greater access to justice for all county residents. The JOY OF RUNNING TOGETHER is a public work of art in honor of the annual Spokane Bloomsday Run. President Herbert Hoover sent the telegram that unveiled the Lincoln Statue in 1930. Over 40,000 people gathered in Spokane on Armistice Day to view the bronze statue that many had contributed donations to help build. The statue was placed in the heart of Spokanes downtown, on the corner of Monroe Street and Main Avenue. Spokane Hoopfest is the largest 3 on 3 outdoor basketball tournament on Earth. That means over 6,000 teams, 3,000 volunteers, 225,000 fans and 450 courts spanning 45 city blocks. The most dramatic of the gardens in Manito Park is Duncan Garden, created in a classical European Renaissance style.
