Jan has been an active cyclist throughout her life. She started the business with her husband Peter, who was, in his younger years, both an accomplished cyclist and middle-distance runner. Prior t... o moving to Florida to purchase and operate Spin City Cycles, they enjoyed organic farming in the Seattle area. Sadly, in 2016, Peter passed away but with her continued love and passion for the sport, Jan is now operating Spin City Cycles with the help of her mechanic Philip. Spin City Cycles number one goal is customer service and takes their customer's satisfaction with their service and products to heart. Jan and Philip ride at least 50-100 miles per week as part of their health regimen and enjoy meeting and working with other people who also believe that bike riding is one the very best forms of exercise for all ages. Although Apopka is one of the largest communities in Central Florida, prior to Spin City Cycles, it was without a local bicycle shop. The shop is located on S. Central Ave. just 2 blocks west of the West Orange Trail. Spin City is now the local resource for people of all ages to come and get involved in the wonderful sport of cycling and carries a good selection of both new and used bikes. They also provide quality rental bikes at affordable rates for people to enjoy the beautiful West Orange Bike Trail.
