Barbara received her master's degree from the University of Northern Colorado-Greeley. She also completed a post graduate fellowship at Denver VA Medical Center with an emphasis in stroke, TBI, swallowing disorders and head and neck cancer. She established STA in 1986 to serve the needs of Las Vegas and surrounding areas. She is certified in Vital... Stim, the leading dysphagia treatment. She works primarily with the adult population. Lil received her master's degree from University of New York, Geneseo and went on to become the Supervisor at United Cerebral Palsy in Rochester NY. She relocated to the Vegas valley and has been a partner at Speech Therapy Associates since 1997. She works primarily with the pediatric population. Carissa received her master's degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison and relocated to the Las Vegas valley in 2015. She has been with STA since 2016. Carissa works with both adults and adolescent children. She has experience with voice disorders, swallowing disorders as well as stroke patients and and other neurological conditions. Hazel received her master's degree from Utah State University and began her career in the school district. She relocated to the Las Vegas valley in 1999 and continued to work in the school setting and in private practice. She has experience working with children from preschool to school age and enjoys working AAC systems. Melissa has been with STA for 13 years. Born and raised in the Las Vegas Valley her passion is helping the community. As the Office Manager, she maintains organization within the office. She will be able to help you with all of your insurance questions and concerns. Yesenia has been with STA for over 8 years. She is the welcoming face you will see upon entering our office.
