About SPACEBEAM Project
SPACEBEAM is focused on the design, realization, and testing of an innovative radar receiver that supports reconfigurable multi-beam Scan-on-Receive (SCORE) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) for Earth observation applications. The project aims to meet the performance, size, weight, and power (SWaP) requirements of future swarms and constellations of LEO satellites and cubesats. Utilizing an optical beamforming network based on photonic integrated circuits, SPACEBEAM will enhance functionalities while reducing size, weight, and power consumption compared to existing systems.
