South Stream Transport

South Stream Transport, founded in 2011, is a specialized entity operating within the construction industry with a primary focus on complex offshore pipeline engineering. Originally established to manage the planning and construction of the South Stream Offshore Pipeline, the company has since pivoted its technical expertise toward the development of the TurkStream Offshore Pipeline. By leveraging advanced engineering methodologies, the firm ensures that deep-water infrastructure projects are executed according to rigorous international quality standards, maintaining a commitment to safe and environmentally responsible operations across all project lifecycles.

The organization maintains a robust operational footprint with 500-1,000 employees and 2 locations. Following the 2014 cancellation of the initial South Stream Project, Gazprom retained the company’s specialized assets and intellectual capital to spearhead new initiatives. This transition allowed the firm to continue pushing the frontiers of subsea engineering, utilizing a global network of renowned suppliers and technical experts to oversee the qualification, testing, and production of high-specification pipeline materials.

With a focus on large-scale infrastructure, South Stream Transport continues to refine its technical capabilities in deep-water pipeline design and construction management. The company’s success is driven by its multidisciplinary team of over 200 international experts who provide the necessary technical oversight for complex maritime projects.
