I have always loved to create! Throughout the years, I have tried many different forms of artistic expression, searching for the one that resonated with my soul and sparked excitement deep inside. SoulQuest Designs Jewelry for your Journey came into being in 2012. My business is the realization of a long ago dream to make my passion for creating ar... t, my lifes work. As my journey continues to unfold, I discover guidance from the positive intentions I set. These affirmations emerge in my poetic verse and heartfelt jewelry and are meant to encourage and uplift the recipients of my pieces. I am truly honored and grateful when a client contacts me to create a piece of jewelry specifically for them or their business. Working together, I help bring their vision into reality, making a one of a kind, exclusive piece. I embrace the challenges that these unique designs present which expands my skills, inspires my imagination and continues to ignite the fire deep within my soul. My designs begin with researching a cultural, ancient or contemporary symbol that evokes a particular emotion or feeling. I sketch a design for a particular symbol on a piece of eraser like material, then carve into it to create a mold using the skills I learned as a woodworker. Precious metal clay, made from recycled silver, is rolled out to the desired thickness and an impression is taken of the mold and left overnight to dry. The piece is fired in a kiln to burn away the clay & produce a fine silver charm. I write an inspirational message conveying the essence of the symbol.
