Although Solent Tools Ltd started trading in 2007, directors and employees have experience over the last 40 years in the power tool and garden machinery industry which means that Solent Tools does not just sell spare parts, we are also able to give help, technical information and advise with the parts and how your machine works. Although we are Sol... ent Tools, we sell very few hand tools, power tools and garden machinery, the brands of tools that we do sell are a high quality and the ones that we can be competitive on price. Our main focus is on spares and accessories for nearly any brand of powertool or garden machinery (for both petrol and electic tools) and providing the after sales service that most companies do not provide. We are based in Southampton and hold most of our stock in our store, we post everything out worldwide but if you prefer you can come in and collect the product you require. If you are unsure of what part your tool needs we are able to advise by email and over the phone, if you bring your tool in we can look at it, identify the correct part and repair it for you. Even in these days of cheap Power Tools it is still worth keeping a familiar machine. When you include the time and travelling costs to find a replacement machine, replacing a simple part such as a pair of carbon brushes makes economic sense. Last year Solent Tools saved over 4000 machines going to land fill by supplying spare parts that manufacturures do not want to supply. Specialist power tools are now affordable and are now used for DIY. This brings it's own problems with brands such as Challenge, Erbauer, Gardenline, JCB, MacAllister, Performance Power, Powerbase, Power Devil, Qualcast And Titan supplying a very limited amount of spare parts.
