About Solar One
Solar One is an environmental nonprofit that runs programs to bring the benefits of clean energy to all New Yorkers. Solar One's mission is to design and deliver innovative education, workforce training, and technical assistance that fosters sustainability and resiliency in diverse urban environments. The Here Comes Solar program expands access to solar by providing solar feasibility analysis, financing consultation, and project implementation support to building owners, government agencies, utilities, and community organizations. Solar One has facilitated more than 700 successful solar projects in the NYC metro region since 2014, primarily in low- income communities. Solar One is proud to partner with Fifth Avenue Committee and its affiliate, Neighbors Helping Neighbors to bring solar to low- and moderate-income homeowners in Brooklyn through Barrio Solar.Explore more
