About SoftWx
I founded SoftWx in 2006 to carry on and expand the independant software development and consulting work I have been doing since 1991. Besides ongoing software consulting, SoftWx has developed and markets applications for owners of personal weather stations. SoftWx is a small company located in southwest Idaho, USA. I began programming professionally in 1982, developing underwater accoustics research applications. In the following years I worked on a wide variety of applications, with a focus on the airline industry. This included developing algorithms for Operations Research software solving difficult optimization problems. In 1991, I started business as an independant developer creating and marketing tools for software developers who were using the Smalltalk-like Object Oriented Programming language called Actor.
