It is committed to values, insights, and programmes that contribute to achieving a world free of want, fear and violence, and is working towards uplifting the worlds underprivileged community. The Trust,working under the guidance of Amma Sri Karunamayi, has undertaken many humanitarian projects such as Free Schools, Free Hospitals, Mobile Medical Care, Free Housing Projects, and Water Treatment Plants. The SMVA Trust is actively involved in community services like Feeding the Hungry, Clothing Distribution, Leprosy Care, Wheelchair Distribution, Natural Disaster Aid, Eye & Dental Screening, Cataract operations and much more by volunteers of the Trust around the globe. SMVA Trust is a not for profit 501 (c) 3 charitable organization. We are currently listed as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in associative status with the Department of Public Information of the United Nations and are actively involved in advancing the all-important SDGs - the Sustainable Development Goals - which were endorsed by 193 countries in 2015. SMVA Trust has independently been working on many of these goals since it's inception in 1995, long before they were formulated by the UN.
