Smith-Welch Memorial Library

We consider it an honor to serve the people of Robertson County and surrounding areas. You do not have to be a resident of Robertson County to become a member of the Library. We welcome all who wish to utilize our facility. To get a library card, you must have a form of ID (driver license, or ID card) to verify you are over 18. If you are under 18,... a parent/guardian must accompany you to the Library in order to obtain a library card. Children under 6 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult when visiting the library. Adult books, juvenile books and audiobooks have a 14 day checkout. Reference and DVD's have a 3 day checkout. The due date is never a day we are closed. All overdue books will be charged a fine of .10 cents per day, audiobooks/DVDs will be charged a fine of $1.00 per day, and reference books will be charged a fine of $2.00 per day, which will include days we are closed since the book(s) is already overdue. Book may be renewed once over the telephone once provided they are not overdue, on hold for another patron or in high demand. Our Library is fully automated. The bulk of our book funds are spent on current best-seller hardcover fiction, which is what the majority of our patrons demand. Our young adult and juvenile sections are also kept up to date with new releases. We also have a large selection of paperbacks, from Westerns to Romance, which mainly have been donated to us by patrons. More interested in electronic media, check out our audiobooks and DVD's. In fact, we would take every single book and magazine offered since we are wild about books and reading materials.
