We are proud to notify our customers about our new Smith & Jewell logo, and to provide some clarity around our company and trading names. Smith & Jewell was founded in 1935 and became famous for engineering excellence by providing engine manifold coolers for the RAF Spitfire and Hurricane aircraft. In 2013, we changed our trading name from Smith &... Jewell Ltd to SJ Engineering Services Ltd. Over the past six months and after extensive consultations with our customers, suppliers, staff and other stakeholders, we have decided to revert back to the well-know and long established Company name of Smith & Jewell. To minimise the legal and business disruptions of such a change, we've decided to retain the trading name of SJ Engineering Services Ltd. This means that we will adopt the Company name of Smith & Jewell but continue trading as SJ Engineering Services Ltd. From Monday 4th January the following changes will take place: Our email addresses will change from mark@smithandjewell.co.uk to mwakeford@smithandjewell.co.uk; customers can continue to use existing email addresses with confidence during the changeover process which will last for six months; Our web site will promote our Company name of Smith & Jewell rather than SJES Ltd; We will answer the telephone using "Smith & Jewell" as our Company name; We will adopt the new logo shown above Please note that all purchase orders, invoices and other company documentation will continue to show our trading name as SJ Engineering Specialists Ltd.
