SMACKS is a locally owned family business whose philosophy is that no job is too little, customer satisfaction is paramount, with integrity as the first priority. How did we get our name? SMACKS Construction began in 1978 as a family business. For Christmas one year, Uncle Jim gave the family a box of oranges with "to the S.M.A.C.K.S family" writte... n on the side. We had no idea what S.M.A.C.K.S meant. Dad called Uncle Jim and learned it was an acronym of the first names of the each family member. Dad liked the name so much he decided to use it for his new business. Abe Cook, son of the original founder and now current owner, has been running SMACKS since 1999. Abe is personally involved in every job and performs much of the work himself. SMACKS specializes in remodeling, window/skylight/door installations, roofing, decks, new construction and commercial buildings. Abe lives with his wife Lori, and two high school children in Oregon City. SMACKS has sponsored many Oregon City sports and other programs for the community.Read More
