Slower Lower Delaware

"Slower Lower Delaware" the term has been used over and over for many years by a variety of people but it first appeared in apparel form at Suzie's Tavern and Restaurant in Millsboro, Delaware in September of 1991. (the above design is the original). The shirt was either white or peppercorn print with a left chest pocket that said Suzie's Tavern an... d Restaurant and the back print with "I (heart) Slower Lower Delaware. Loyal customer demand called for an expansion and in 1993 we located next door to the restaurant at 220 A Main Street and grew from there. By 1995 we had moved to a larger location at 212 Main Street (now Millsboro Bake Shop). It is a pleasure to know the outpouring of affection to this area based on our sales record alone but the real pleasure comes when people, who by the hundreds, have flattered us with pictures from around the world wearing their Slower Lower Delaware attire.
