SkyFoxs Integrated Aquaculture and Crop Production innovation is a flagship initiative by SkyFox Ltd to create unlimited opportunities for poor women, men and the youth to participate in the life changing and lucrative aquaculture industry in West Africa. We mobilize grants and investors to finance the construction and management of aquaculture and... crop irrigation facilities, and lease these to resource poor families, women and youth entrepreneurs to produce fish and crops. We manage water supply for the fish farming, organize all inputs and expertise within the farm, thereby simplifying technicalities and reducing the cost of logistics for our clients. Each beneficiary groups or individuals is assigned an expert to guide them throughout the production cycle in order to boost their productivity. The pond water is discharged daily and replaced with fresh water; about 50% of water for daily replacement is recycled and reused. The waste water is then channeled to irrigation fields to produce crops. SkyFox Limited is implementing this initiative in Ghana, Guinea, Sierra Leone and Burkina Faso since 2017. We will extend to Liberia in 2019 and hoping to extend to Cote dIvoire and Nigeria soon. About 1,200 acres of land have been secured by the company, of which about 200 acres so far are fully equipped with irrigation infrastructure.
