Simunye Developers was founded and and registered in the year 1996 by an individual black man Mandla Dlokweni. Over the past few years the South African business transformation process has created opportunities for black companies to access the business main stream. Simunye Developers contributed to the joint venture contracts by means of the founder being employed by the joint venture.The founder has educational qualifications and experience in Civil Engineering. Joint Ventures with Crane Homes, Express Builders, Grinaker LTA and WBHO contributed to Simunyes penetration into the market. The necessity for major companies to collaborate with SMMEs with the right skills and professionalism kick started these business ventures. Our success in these projects attracted attention and paved the way for Simunye Developers to operate on its own. In 2002, Simunye Developers started to operate on its own doing major contracts focusing mainly on Building and also doing Civil contracts.
