The Silver Cross EMS System is a network of fire departments, ambulance services, industrial responders, training centers, dispatch centers, and hospitals, all committed to coordinating quality pre-hospital patient care. The system comprises more than 2,000 specially trained personnel within 34 fire departments, ambulance services, industrial responder agencies, dispatch centers and four associate hospitals. Silver Cross Hospital serves as the resource hospital for the Silver Cross EMS System, operating as a state-designated Level II Trauma Center and designated Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission.
