Mark didn't start off being an investment person. He graduated from Babson College in Wellesley, MA in 1982. While at Babson, he played soccer. He was on two NCAA Division III Championship teams during his sophmore and junior years. He has been known to say that the team his senior year should have won as well - but if they had, he might have not m... ade it out of college. After college he went to work for Wang Laboratories, relocating to Atlanta, GA in 1984. He had a successful computer sales career at Wang Labs and at Pyramid Computers. In 1992, he decided to follow his true passion and become a stock broker for Paine Webber. He started from scratch - in the days of cold-calling and knocking on doors. He built a book of business based on his own personal style of customer service. His success at Paine Webber attracted other firms to him and in 1995 he moved to Alex Brown. He continued to grow his business and was recruited by Interstate Johnson Lane in 1997. Tim Jones recruited Mark to open an Interstate Johnson Lane office in Alpharetta. During his time as Branch Manager in Alpharetta, Interstate Johnson Lane was acquired by Wachovia. Mark worked for Wachovia until 2003 when he and his family moved to the Lake Oconee area and he started Peoples Investment Company with The Peoples Bank. In April 2011, Mark became an independent financial advisor., partnering once again with Tim Jones, and with IJL Financial Advisors, LLC. Mark partnered with IJL Financial Advisors to provide his clients with the best of all worlds. He is able to provide personal attention to your financial goals and through the relationship with IJL Financial Advisors, he is able to have access to the most advanced investment capabilities available. IJL Financial Advisors changed their to TCA Financial Group, LLC on June 30, 2012. On July 1, 2013, TCA Financial Group merged with Prospera.
